CURRENT SITUATION

Governor Beshear declared a State of Emergency for the Commonwealth of Kentucky on March 6, 2020

Governor Beshear encourages Kentuckians to light their houses, businesses, places of worship, and government facilities green and ring their bells at 10:00am daily, to remember Kentuckians who lost their lives to COVID-19

County election officials that have requested National Guard support, or potentially using Guard support, for the upcoming Kentucky Primary Election on June 23, are to contact their county Emergency Management (EM) office to submit a WebEOC Resource Request for National Guard support.  Guard support can only be used to assist with social distancing, traffic control, crowd control, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment

State Parks are open, except for camping, which will open June 11. Pools and playgrounds will remain closed

 

Starting June 8, reopening of museums, outdoor attractions, aquariums, libraries, and distilleries

Historic Horseracing Facilities will open on June 8

NASCAR will hold races at the KY Speedway over four days from July 9 - 12 without fans

Businesses that opened May 22 at 33% capacity will be able to expand to 50% capacity on June 22, if they meet the guidelines

Starting June 29, reopening for groups of 50 people or less, bars, and KY Kingdom

As directed by the Governor's Office, as we begin transitioning to Healthy at Work, State employees requesting out of state/out of country travel for official business during the state of emergency must be submitted to your HR Department for pre-approval from the Governor's Office

Child Care Centers

Starting June 8, reopening of in-home child care of 10 or less children

 

Starting June 15, reopening of licensed, center-based child care open for all families

Kroger DTTS will continue in Louisville and Lexington through Friday.  Bowling Green testing will run through Friday.  Elizabethtown testing ended today.  Testing is open to all. Sign up at Krogerhealth.com/Covidtesting

Kroger DTTS will begin new hours of operation at all sites on Monday, June 8.  The new hours of operation will be from 7:30am to 2:30pm local time.  The change in testing hours is being made to avoid the high temperatures and humidity of late afternoon

The Kentucky VOAD is a forum of organizations which share knowledge and resources throughout a disaster cycle—preparation, response and recovery—to support and offer assistance to disaster survivors and their communities.
